We the People honors the spirit, history, and diversity of American life through music. In tribute to the nation’s 250th anniversary, this program reflects voices of unity, resilience, remembrance, and celebration.

From Copland’s iconic Fanfare for the Common Man to contemporary works by Viet Cuong and Benjamin Horne, the concert traces America’s past and present through concert band literature. Featured moments include the jazz-inflected energy of Sparke’s Manhattan, moving reflections in Deep River, and timeless expressions of national identity in America the Beautiful.

Together, these works offer a musical portrait of the American experience—complex, hopeful, and enduring.
